Using advanced laser technology, our skilled and experienced technicians precisely target the hair follicles with an IPL device. This device emits pulses of light which are absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles below the skin's surface. The light turns to heat that is absorbed by the skin, and essentially destroys the follicle—causing hair to fall off and regrowth to slow down.
Hair growth can be inhibited completely by administering multiple treatments due to the varying growth rates of hair follicles.

Laser hair removal requires multiple treatments due to the growth patterns of hair follicles. Hair follicles go through different phases of growth, including an active growth phase (anagen), a transitional phase (catagen), and a resting phase (telogen). During the anagen phase, the hair follicle is actively producing new hair, and this is the ideal phase for laser hair removal as the energy from the laser targets the melanin in the hair follicle, disabling its ability to regrow hair.
Since hair follicles have independent growth cycles, not all follicles will be in the anagen phase during a single laser hair removal session. This means that only a portion of the hair follicles will be effectively treated during each session.
Laser hair removal was not always suitable for individuals with darker skin tones due to its targeting of the pigment in hair follicles, which posed a risk of skin burns, particularly for those with darker skin.
To address this concern when treating individuals with darker phototypes using pulsed light, we employ specialized handpieces equipped with enhanced filtering capabilities and multi-pulsed emission. Additionally, we incorporate longer delays between pulses to further minimize the risk of adverse effects.
Prior to commencing the laser hair removal procedure, a spot test will be conducted to assess your skin's reaction and determine the most appropriate course of action.

Although you might not perceive the sensation as heat, you may perceive it as a snapping sensation similar to that of a rubber band on your skin during the procedure. Following the treatment, you might experience mild discomfort, such as redness and irritation resembling a mild sunburn.
Some individuals may also find the procedure to be somewhat painful, but not as painful as doing the waxing-waddle or razor burn.
Results vary from person to person but on average, we recommend that you get 8 treatments in order to have the longest lasting results.
Laser hair removal does not require any downtime. Your skin may be red and swollen but you should be able to return to your day to day activities.
